Q1. Tell us about you! Proud moments, personal achievements, highlights, or results you’re proud of.
My name is Renee Wilkins, and I am An Authorised Marriage Celebrant based in the leafy western suburbs of Graceville Brisbane Queensland.
I have been a celebrant for the last 16 years and was part of the wave of new young celebrants entering the industry. In my first couple of years as a celebrant, I conducted around 20 weddings yearly. My business grew and grew, and I soon became a preferred celebrant in a number of the high-end venues in Southeast Queensland. On top of this, I have been the “family celebrant” for so many couples and also referred to their friends and family. Never in my wildest dreams did I anticipate that I would be able to say that I have NOW conducted 2500 weddings!
When I am not marrying beautiful couples, I also hold a Medical Marketing role in the pharmaceutical industry where I work full-time.
I am married and this year will be our 23rd year of marriage. My husband and I have been blessed with 3 children. Our eldest daughter Elizabeth is studying a dual degree In Law and Journalism at the University of Queensland, and our 2 younger children, Patrick in year 11, and Bridie in year 6 at school and I have to say it does fly by.
In my spare time, I love getting together with family and friends, going to the gym, bush walking, planning my next overseas holiday with my husband and luxury escapes with my close Girlfriends. Yes, you do need to do Girl escapes to keep sane.
Q2. Tell us about your business.
Services I offer are Marriage ceremonies, Renewal of vows, Marriage Blessings, Elopements, Naming Ceremonies and Funerals.
Some business highlights, I have been written up in the Courier Mail as 1 of the 3 Favourite Brisbane Marriage Celebrants and also called upon by the media to speak on COVID Issues and same-sex marriage.

Q4. What do your clients LOVE about you, your products or services?
My clients love my Wardrobe – take a look at my Renee’s Weddings Instagram, I strategically match my attire to the color theme of the wedding
And I should add I am super efficient, I always respond to clients instantaneously and no I don’t have an autoreply.
Q5. What’s something you’d love brides/grooms to know about you?
I would like my future couples to know that despite doing so many weddings, I still Love Hitching loved-up couples.
Q6. Are there any assumptions people might make that may prevent them from reaching out?
In regards to challenging situations, these do pop up from time to time. One recent one was a couple where the mother of the bride was very sick and I needed to organise the wedding in 24 hours. The couple were happily married the next day and the mother of the bride passed away 1 week later.
Q7. What are your fees?
My fees range depending on the service that couples are seeking.
As a Guideline:
- Elopements – $800.00 to $1000.00
- Marriage ceremony – $1000.00 to $1500.00 (this is dependent on the date, time, and location of the ceremony) **My fees include travel
- Naming day – $500.00
- Renewal of vows – $600.00
- Registry only at my RW Registry Weddings – $500.00 to $700.00
